What’s up, Unfollowers??
Welcome to Holy Nonsense, where we laugh at religious absurdity!

4 Comments From Christians
I made a post on social media about how I’m going to be on a panel at NaNoCon, and one person on Facebook seemed to not be a big fan of Matt Dillahunty or me.
The same people who accuse me of having hate in my heart post stuff like this.
I will forever continue to make the content I do because morons like Matthew Arseneau need to be called out.
“Get your post out of my stream!”
John, I think it’s time to retire from the internet. You think Facebook charged me money to post something on my own page.
By the way, I loved you in that one episode of The Office.
I saw this post by Friendly Atheist:
…which led me to share it and say this:
…to which Jake replied:
Totally normal response to have.
Weird how they think a Christian nationalist congressman being openly xenophobic means that Christianity somehow lives in my head rent free?
I don’t think he knows what “rent free” means.
And, finally, we have this confusing comment from Ryan:
I have no idea why he posted a comment directed toward Charlie Kirk underneath one of my posts, but whatevs.
I think it’s because it was the 6 month anniversary of his death, but that shit fell on March 10th aka Mar10 aka Mario Day. Don’t you dare try to take away from my favorite Italian plumber.
3 Things You Should Know About
1. Skeptic Cinema
Years ago, I hosted a small virtual movie watch party. We watched the Christian Cringe Classic God’s Not Dead. It was a good time!
On March 25th at 9pm EST, I’m hosting another one. We’re going to watch Religulous!
I became an atheist in 2009, long before the deconstruction/ex-Christian/atheist social media communities were a thing.
I’m not a big fan of Bill Maher these days, but Religulous was one of the things that made me feel less alone as a nonbeliever during that time.
And it still contains one of my favorite quotes:
The only appropriate attitude for man to have about the big questions is not the arrogant certitude that is the hallmark of religion, but doubt. Doubt is humble, and that’s what man needs to be, considering that human history is just a litany of getting shit dead wrong.
- Bill Maher
The event will be completely free. The only thing you need is a Scener account and the Google Chrome extension. More info about that here. We’ll be watching on Tubi, so you may need a Tubi account, too (I’m not sure). The movie is free to watch there.

2. I’m on 2 Panels in 2026!
I already mentioned that I’m going to be on a panel at NaNoCon in Nashville August 1st, but I will also be speaking on a content creation panel at Rocket City Reason in Huntsville, AL in October!
If you’re reading this and attending either conference, please come say hi. I’d love to meet you!
More info here.
3. TheSkepTick
If you’re looking for more laughs in the world of atheist content, check out TheSkepTick.
“Making Atheism & Skepticism more accessible to a wider audience.”
He is one of the creators who will be on the panel with me at Rocket City Reason.

I saw this video on Instagram, and it was my favorite thing this week.
