Atheism pours out the baby š¶
Psychedelics can show you.
Welcome to Holy Nonsense, where we laugh at religious absurdity!
I see her point, and I understand it.
I even agree with some of it.
Yes, just because Christianity or whatever religion a person experienced doesnāt work out, that doesnāt mean that thereās no god.
I get that.
But I still canāt make myself believe something that I donāt.
Christianity being shitty doesnāt mean thereās no god, but wanting there to be a god doesnāt mean there is one, either.
This was my reply to Zsofia:
Thereās no bathwater. Thereās no tub.
I mean, if the bathwater is merely the concept of god, then all beliefs about everything are also in that bathwater, right?
Being an atheist isnāt saying āthereās absolutely zero percent chance of there being a god,ā despite what theists think.
There are some atheists who say that, true, but itās not the majority.
My goal is to quit my freelancing podcast editing services so that I can create better content to fight Christian nationalism. Every person who becomes a paid subscriber gets me closer to that goal. Are you in?
Remember: you donāt need a god to be good!

Thatās a major issue I have when theists basically say āyeah, well I can understand why you left; that church doesnāt believe in the ārealā Jesusā or āmy church isnāt so old fashionedā - you get the idea. When I hear things like that, especially from āprogressiveā Christians, it makes my blood boil because it betrays the fact that itās all made up! Theyāre basically just admitting āIām keeping the parts I like and ignoring and/or explaining away the things I do!ā Itās like theyāre molding a ball of clay into whatever they want and then somehow acting like itās an objective, self evident truth. š
And like you and that person said - does that mean conclusively there is no god? Of course not! But if he/she/it/they exist, definitely not one of the major religions as far as Iāve seen.
Blessed are the cherry pickers, for they shall always find only the flavorful fruit they seek.
