4 Comments From Christians
Let’s start off strongly, shall we??
This dude commented on a post of mine. I responded. Then, he immediately DMd me this:
“I don’t wast time on weak men” seems to be a lie when you took time out of your day to message me, buddy.
Probably in my personal clap back hall of fame, but that’s beside the point.
I’d love to see this dude define wokeism.
I’ve been called many things. Satan himself. Son of Satan. Vipers. Snakes. Demons.
Nothing shocks me anymore.
OOPS. This one always cracks me up.
Buddy, wait until you hear that human beings WROTE THE BIBLE.
3 Things You Should Know About
When Religion Hurts You
Lots of the Christian commenters I get laugh at the term “religious trauma.” They think it means that we were forced to go to church as children and that we’re upset about it.
Religious trauma is trauma.
Dr. Laura Anderson, who is a religious trauma expert, wrote a book on the subject.
If you've experienced religious trauma, you're not alone.
Religious trauma is something that happens far more often than most people realize.
In When Religion Hurts You, Dr. Laura Anderson takes an honest look at a side of religion that few like to talk about. Drawing from her own life and therapy practice, she helps readers understand
● what religious trauma is and isn't
● how high-control churches can be harmful and abusive
● how elements of fundamentalist church life cause psychological, relational, physical, and spiritual damage
● the growing phenomenon of religious trauma and spiritual abuse
● how to embark on a journey of living as healing individuals and to find a new foundation to stand on
Recognizing that healing from trauma is a lifelong rather than a linear process, Dr. Anderson offers markers of spiritual healing for those coming out of painful religious experiences and hope for finding wholeness after religious trauma.

2 Quotes to Make You Think
“Who is more humble? The scientist who looks at the universe with an open mind and accepts whatever the universe has to teach us, or somebody who says everything in this book must be considered the literal truth and never mind the fallibility of all the human beings involved?”
Carl Sagan
“I'm a strict, strict agnostic. It's very different from a casual, 'I don't know.' It's that you cannot present as knowledge something that is not knowledge. You can present it as faith, you can present it as belief, but you can't present it as fact.”
Margaret Atwood
1 Piece of Cringe Christian Media
In case you were ever wondering if dinosaurs made it onto Noah’s Ark:
Thanks for reading!
I do this to make people laugh, to process religious trauma, and to remind us all we’re not alone in this Christian nationalist hellscape.
If that’s worth a few bucks a month to you, I’d be honored.
$5/month or $50/year → become a supporter
You don’t need a god to be good!
