Here’s something weird I saw on Facebook. Watch at your own risk:
Evangelicals seem to think that every single that’s not the Bible is demonic.
I’m old enough to remember when they said that debit cards were the mark of the beast.
A guy I used to work with same that Obama meant Satan.
And if you’re wondering “Kevin, why are you still on Facebook?” It’s because I want to punish myself by seeing posts like that one.
Besides calling everything demonic, another thing evangelicals do is tell other people what they think:
That’s the beauty of religion and being an impressionable young person: it makes you think that you had a relationship with Jesus, but it’s no different from a little kid being convinced that his imaginary friend is real, especially when everyone around you talks to him, too.
I feel for people like Kieran because I probably wasn’t much different once upon a time.
They love the whole “look at your name” thing. Yeah, my handle is Jesus Unfollower; that doesn’t make me a bad person.
Jesus would much prefer me over these people.
This is a classic self-own. Would that disobedience include not loving thy neighbor…?

This next comment was in response to me saying that I’m an atheist because I don’t believe in any gods.
It’s hard for them to fathom that some people just stop believing.
It wasn’t to justify anything; I didn’t want to stop believing. I didn’t want to stop going to church, but why would I continue to go if I thought it was all false?
