As someone who posts about being an atheist, I get a LOT of hate online.

Take, for instance, saulsantana.png:

Whoops, I think you meant “grovel.”

I think it’s strange for a person to say “I hate people like you” when they don’t even know me.

Well, they know one thing about me: I’m an atheist who posts about evangelical Christianity.

I wonder if they realize that I don’t just do that for shits and giggles.

I don’t do that to get a rise out of them.

I do that because THEIR RELIGION IS HARMFUL.

Or, at least it can be, if it’s used as a weapon.

Also, it’s funny when people point out how I “keep responding” to their comments.

Yeah, buddy. This is my page. Sometimes I reply to people who just flap their gums.

Ah yes, I believe it was in John when Jesus said “you will never be anything.”

These people continue to distance themselves from the Christ they claim to serve.

I do this to make people laugh, to process religious trauma, and to remind us all we’re not alone in this Christian nationalist hellscape.
