I'm in. Let's go!

Thought of the day:

I don’t think labels are super important; just have conversations to see where another person lands on a given subject.

I call myself an atheist, but if you are a nonbeliever and don’t want to use that label, then don’t.

Despite what many atheists say, calling yourself “agnostic” is perfectly acceptable.

Or spiritual.

Or just simply saying “I don’t know” is fine, too.

It’s time for 4-3-2-1!

4 Comments From Christians

First up: Father Abraham.

Is he admitting that many people turn to god just because their lives aren’t good?

I’d say it’s pretty common for someone to lose it all and then turn to a religion that was taught to them as a child.

That stuff sticks in the back of your mind.

Yes, my online handle is Jesus Unfollower. No, that doesn’t mean that I hate Jesus or that he did anything wrong to me.

It’s a play on “Jesus Follower,” which appears in 89.2% of all Christian bios.

Next up, we have a response to a post that I made:

Jon says hold up just a sec…

Is he really saying that people who devoted their entire lives to God weren’t ever Christians to begin with?

Pastors who later deconstructed?

Worship leaders?

Missionaries?

Those who studied the Bible daily? Talked to God daily? Prayed daily?

I’d definitely spend time trying to convince people that the Easter Bunny wasn’t real if billions of people believed that he was and that he’d send people to hell for not believing in him.

3 Things You Should Know About

1. Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere

If you have Netflix, you’ve gotta go watch this documentary!

Louis Theroux immerses himself in the world of extreme online influencers and content creators who are redefining modern masculinity. He examines the appeal of these ideas and attitudes, and how these figures are influencing young men’s values.

It’s truly wild to see what these pieces of shit do in their daily lives.

2. Skeptic Hang

For anyone who is a paid subscriber here on Substack, we’ll be doing a Google Meet virtual hangout on 4/1 @ 9pm EST.

An email will be sent to you about 10-15 minutes before it starts.

Join here.

Also, I’m trying to think of a name for the paid Substack group. Any suggestions?

I was thinking something similar to the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (Hot Fuzz reference).

Hot Fuzz Mafia - Game Over, Town (and Touch) has won! - This aint sports talk! - FootballsFuture.com

3. The Frank Truth Show

Yes, I fit into the category of “atheist content creator,” but my passion is comedy.

I love to make people laugh.

I think there’s a way that I can really lean into my strengths while also talking about the same important subjects that I do now.

That way is satire.

I had this idea last year and actually recorded 3 episodes. You can listen to them now on Apple or Spotify (or right here on Substack).

More episodes to come very soon. This is something that I’m excited about.
